About us

Gustav Dietrich GmbH & Co.KG or DELFA Der Elegante Leisten Für Alle"

"The Elegant Ledge For All"
That is how the company founders called their first products in 1907, to the Kaiser's best times.

Like hanging your clothes on coat hangers to keep them in form, you should certainly use Delfa shoe shapers in your shoes.
The best time to use them is directly after you take off your shoes as the leather is still elastic while foot warm. Thereby wrinkles will be smoothed, moisture absorbed and the shoe can have a rest in its original shape for increasing the lifespan of your shoes.
Most of the quality products of the brand DELFA are mostly manufactured in our own production and so are “Made in Germany”. As a matter of course we strictly adhere to limit values and refrain from using harmful substances. For wooden products we solely use woods from native reforestation, for example beechwood from native timber or Aromatic Red Cedar, taken from special forestations in the USA.

The company foundation was in the year 1907 by Ludwig Dietrich. After a short period of time the company, called wood factory Dietrich, at that time, was well known inside and outside of Germany as a producer and furnisher of shoe ledges and wooden heels.

With hard work and determined planning, the factory in Bickenbach was developed.

Wooden shoe trees are manufactured in large editions and are not only distributed in German shoe stores, they were exported as well in various countries in Europe.

With the new company name DELFA the specific production of shoe accessories made of high-quality plastic like shoe trees has started, followed soon by boot trees. The range soon was expanded with the development and production of foam shoe trees. The toe puffs became a main branch of the company.

Made in Germany

A new era started in December 2011 with the relocation to the new headquarter in Bensheim.
