Our shoetree with anadjusted fitting is made of wood of the Red Cedar. The tree grows in NorthAmerica predominantly in sustainable reforestation. Even if the Red Cedar treeis not a real cedar, it brings all the important advantages of a cedar - thereddish color combined with the fragrance of the essential oil. The naturalwood is perfect for a fine shoetree: it is not varnished and completelyuntreated. Only a fine sanding ensures the smooth surface.
The front leaf of the shoe stretcher is solid and almost completely fillsthe front shoe to minimize creases and maintain shape.

The spiral spring keepsthe tension. Your shoe stays in shape and does not buckle. Also suitable for comfortableshoes, sneaker and all wide fitting shoes.
Use the shoetree as soon as you take off your shoes - ideally, when they arestill warm. The Red Cedar wood absorbs the moisture and the essential oil actsagainst bacteria and thus against emerging odor. Your shoes will be given anextended life.
The cedar shoe former is a natural product. If you find knotholes or smallcracks from the drying phase, this is only a proof of the naturalness and hasno influence on the properties of the shoetree. If you discover white spots onthe shoetree, it is not mould. The essential oil can crystallize out and emergefrom the large-pored wood. If this is the case, you can remove the crystalswith a cloth or a fine abrasive paper. Enjoy the fragrance that comes with it.
